Refinishing Metal Console Table
Metal console table – If you have an old metal table in your home that you love or a metal outdoor table that has become rusty and needs repairs, then this guide will help you to do just that. Metal tables can last much longer than wood if you keep them stainless and clean, but if you have a table that has been given in front of you, then you have to take some simple steps to restore and refinish it.
Put on protective goggles and rubber gloves. Brush the entire surface of a metal console table with a steel brush. Apply a layer of rust solder over the entire metal surface with a sponge. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse the solvent tank with a hose. Apply the rust looser if there is any rust left on the metal table and rinse off the table again. Wipe dry with a cloth. Allow it to air dry for one hour.
Spray a thin layer of rust-resistant primer over the entire surface. Wait 45 minutes and apply another thin layer of rust-resistant primer to metal console table. Allow to dry for 2-3 hours. Spray a thin layer of rust resistant paint throughout the surface. Wait 45 minutes and apply another thin layer of rust resistant paint on the metal table. Allow to dry for 2-3 hours. Apply any touch-up sprayer where necessary.
